The Arts

  • School Performances: Students in K-8th grade have opportunities to perform in music, choir, and/or band performances both in the fall and spring.
    • K-5 Christmas Concert
    • Junior High Choir Christmas Concert
    • Junior High Choir Spring Concert
    • Band Concerts twice a year

  • Music & Choir: Outside of regular music classes, junior high students can also join the Junior High Choir, which provides opportunities such as a Christmas concert, spring concert, singing at school Masses, and community events such as the All City Pius X Music Festival.

  • Band: Both Band and Advanced Band include performance opportunities outside of the regular school day schedule. The students work in both small-group and class-size practice sessions with an instructor who works across several Catholic elementary schools as well as Pius X High School.

  • Art: The art program at Cathedral is taught by a full-time art teacher for grades K-8. Student artwork is displayed prominently throughout the Cathedral school and parish as well as showcased annually at the SOAR Cathedral auction and in drawing contests.
