  • What is your favorite book? Little House on the Prairie
  • What is your favorite food or drink? Dr. Pepper
  • What is your favorite summer activity? Camping at National Parks
  • What is a fun fact about yourself? I have visited all 50 states!
 

Mrs. Dougherty, Administrative Assistant

  • What is your favorite book? I am a voracious reader, often reading 2-3/week and cannot pick a favorite. I like historical fiction.
  • What is your favorite food or drink? I almost never turn down a taco.
  • What is your favorite summer activity? Summers we live at the pool! Love catching up with our summer friends!
  • What is a fun fact about yourself? If you invite me to a potluck, I’ll probably bring my scotcheroos!

Mrs. Siedel, Reading Interventionalist

  • What is your favorite book? My favorite books are historical fiction. Right now, I’m reading books by a local author, Margo Carlson.
  • What is your favorite food or drink? Iced Vanilla Lattes
  • What is your favorite summer activity? Taking care of my grandchildren and traveling to see friends.
  • What is a fun fact about yourself? I officiate girls and boys basketball games.

  • What is your favorite summer activity? I love going to the pool, spending time with family, and eating s’mores.
  • What is a fun fact about yourself? Growing up, I participated in a lot of community theatre and have been in over 40 musicals and plays.

Mrs. Horak, 3rd Grade Teacher

  • What is your favorite book? Any Dr. Seuss book!
  • What is your favorite food or drink? Anything sweet! Iced Coffee
  • What is your favorite summer activity? Going to the pool or on bike rides with my boys, and golfing with my Lady Eagles Golf League
  • What is a fun fact about yourself? I have a new black lab puppy named Kobe. So, that make me the only girl in a house of 6 boys 😆

  • What is your favorite book? Love, Aubrey by Suzanne LaFleur
  • What is your favorite food or drink? Pretzel M&M’s and Strawberry Lemonade or Iced Vanilla Lattes
  • What is your favorite summer activity? Going on walks or going to the beach/pool to get some sun!
  • What is a fun fact about yourself? I played softball for 4 years at Northwest Missouri State University where I attended college and double majored with an elementary and special education degree.

Mrs. Ingwersen, 6th Grade Teacher

  • What is your favorite book? A tie between War and Peace by Tolstoy and The Name of the Rose by Umberto Eco
  • What is your favorite food or drink? Iced Matcha
  • What is your favorite summer activity? Gardening
  • What is a fun fact about yourself? I have a master’s in opera performance and have performed the role of Susanna in Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro
 
 

 Mrs. Lowe, 6th Grade Teacher

  • What is your favorite book? Any book of poetry - especially Mary Oliver - and Smoky, the Cow Horse by Will James.
  • What is your favorite food or drink? Thai food, midwest cafe style breakfast, and coffee!
  • What is your favorite summer activity? Impromptu outdoor adventures with my extended family, especially creature discoveries. I am a big nature nerd and I prefer to be outdoors any chance I get.
  • What is a fun fact about yourself? I'm in my sixth year producing a podcast that reconnects camp staff alumni. I enjoy getting to know people and sharing their stories. I've kept a journal since Kindergarten, I'm a big fan of micro-travel adventures, and I love cats!

Ms. Bertrand, JH Social Studies - 7th Grade

  • What is your favorite food or drink? Iced coffees (with lavender syrup, of course)
  • What is your favorite summer activity? Being a part of the summer musical at Pinewood Bowl!
  • What is a fun fact about yourself? I’ve been dancing for over 20 years!
 
 

 Mr. Vrbka, JH English - 7th Grade

  • What is your favorite book? The Great Divorce by C.S. Lewis
  • What is your favorite food or drink? A good crab rangoon and Bubbl’r
  • What is your favorite summer activity? Traveling or going outdoors and seeing waterfalls
  • What is a fun fact about yourself? I just finished serving as a Catholic missionary for two years with a group called The Culture Project!

Due to the closing of Dennis uniforms in the fall of 2024, we are now partnering with Lands' End for our uniforms.

Our uniform is staying the same and no major changes are happening. As a reminder, starting in 6th grade girls can no longer wear Navy or Khaki skorts. If they want to wear a skirt/skort it must be the plaid.
